Word and character counter
Every keystroke updates words, characters, sentences, paragraphs and reading time. Everything is computed in your browser, nothing sent.

Characters count every sign including spaces; the “no spaces” variant excludes them, useful for forms limited to 500 or 1000 characters. Words are separated by spaces or line breaks. Sentences end with a full stop, exclamation mark, question mark or ellipsis; an unpunctuated ending counts as one sentence.
Reading time follows the 200-words-per-minute average and speaking time 130 wpm, usual figures for general prose. A speech read aloud, a video narration or a podcast script needs extra margin for pauses.
Limits
Counting is purely mechanical: it does not judge quality, misreads abbreviations such as “Mr.” or “etc.” that can inflate sentence counts, and does not count words inside images. For an exact limit, trust the counter of the form you target.
